Gill Dove

Using modern paint tecniques I have made a series of cut out images influenced by water which have a 3D element, and which glow as if lit by an artificial light. As the daylight changes these glow brighter and the angle of light shifts with the moving shadows.

I also like the concept of making very cheap affordable art that people can have in their home, by making this work disposable and “flat-packed.” This work is beautiful and fragile but easily replaceable. I like to think that people could purchase this work cheaper than buying a new pair of trainers!
